Nasstar Plc looking to continue strong organic growth into 2018 Nigel Redwood, chief executive of Nasstar Plc (LON:NASA), caught up with Proactive's Andrew Scott to chat through the firm's 2017 trading update.

Adjusted underlying earnings (EBITDA) for 2017 were slightly ahead of expectations while the cloud computing group’s cash position improved substantially.

Redwood says they ended the year with net cash of £1.0mln, compared to net debt of £2.8mln a year earlier.

Bango launches carrier billing for Netflix in Mexico Bango plc (LON:BGO), the mobile payments company, has launched carrier billing for Netflix subscriptions in Mexico. Customers who sign up to Netflix, the media streaming giant, can now charge the monthly subscription cost to their pre- or post-paid mobile phone bill. Ray Anderson, Bango CEO tells Proactive the direct carrier billing platform is proving very popular with Mexico's 12M mobile users who can now simply add Netflix costs to their phone bill.

SQS Software Quality Systems agrees £281.3mln takeover by Assystem Technologies The AIM Journal's Andrew Hore talks through a takeover offer by Assystem Technologies for digital business developer SQS Software Quality Systems (LON:SQS).

The offer means SQS shareholders will be entitled to 825p in cash for each of their shares, valuing the firm at around £281.3mln.

Bango extends platform to Amazon Prime and Amazon Student in Japan Ray Anderson, chief executive of Bango plc (LON:BGO), updates Proactive's Andrew Scott on the mobile payment group's move into Amazon Prime and Amazon Student in Japan.

Earlier this year, the company launched direct carrier billing (DCB) for Amazon shoppers, but now Prime members can pay for their subscriptions using the service as well.

Direct carrier billing makes it easier to complete online purchases as customers don’t have to fill in their card details each time. Instead they select the DCB option and the cost is added to the next phone bill.

The extended service is available to KDDI and NTT DOCOMO customers, which account for around three-quarters of all mobile subscribers in Japan.

Bango Plc's Ray Anderson sees big opportunities to grow African footprint Ray Anderson, chief executive of Bango plc (LON:BGO), caught up with Proactive after a busy few weeks travelling around India and Africa.

Bango's platform is now being used by Nigerian mobile network operator 9mobile to enable purchases through Google Play.

Through the 9mobile 9pay wallet, customers in Nigeria can pay for media, games, apps and digital content in Google Play with one-click, without the need to own a credit card or bank account.

Anderson adds they've also partnered with a company called Victory Link in Egypt which will allow Bango app store and merchant partners to launch carrier billing across all three Egyptian mobile operators.

Bango sees massive opportunities in the 'Internet of Things' space Ray Anderson, chief executive of Bango plc (LON:BGO), caught up with Proactive on the back of their interims for the six months to June 2017.

The mobile payments group revealed it ended the first half of 2017 with enough cash to fund it through to profitability.

The growth in end user spend (EUS) on the Bango platform continued, doubling to £92.31mln from £46.17mln in the first half of last year.

On the subject of the Internet of Things, Anderson says: ''There's a huge new area [for us] and we've been working on a few pilots ... a few trials and hopefully those pilots will see the light of day in a few months time''.

Minds + Machines on track for maiden year of profitability Toby Hall, chief executive of Minds + Machines Group Limited (LON:MMX), dropped into the Proactive studio to chat through the top level internet domain specialist's interim figures.

Hall says they're on course to deliver their maiden year of profitability as an operating business.

The first half of the year saw renewal billings nearly triple to US$3.1mln and renewal revenue more than double to the point where it accounted for 45% of revenue, compared to just 15% in the first half of 2016.
