    Australia’s All Ords down 2%, reversing week’s gains

    Confirmation that the U.S. Federal Reserve would begin to scale back its stimulus measures sent the All Ords down 97.9 points, or 2%, to close at 4,743.9, reversing all gains made earlier this week. The Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index is down 2.45% to 2,090.78 while the Dow Mini is down 52 points to 15,112.19.

    Potash West's Dinner Hill resource area gets bigger and bigger

    A major aircore drill program by Potash West has increased the mineralised area of the Dinner Hill Resource Area by a massive 16 square kilometres, confirmed the presence of a phosphate-rich horizon at the Dambadjie and Attunga prospects and identified further shallow potash and phosphate targets.  The exploration target is 1 billion to 1.5 billion tonnes.

    International Coal close to securing prized Consuelo coking coal permits

    There are known to be big wraps on the Consuelo coking coal project in the premier producing Bowen Basin in Queensland, with interest received from Asian groups, located near Glencore Xstrata plc’s Rolleston mine.  The project is located close to existing rail and port infrastructure.

    Madalena Ventures to raise up to $6 mln through financings as Argentina development continues

    Madalena Ventures (CVE:MVN) has made yet another announcement showing the oil and gas explorer's progress, this time saying it has secured financings for proceeds of up to $6 million.
