Now is the time to drill discoveries, says Candente chief

Joanne Freeze, chief executive of Candente Copper Corp (TSE:DNT) and Candente Gold Corp (TSE:CDG), says the company is focusing on expanding the resources on its Canariaco property in Peru.
The project has three targets on it, she says – Canariaco Norte, where Candente has already “drilled off around 750mln tonnes of measured and indicated resource” and completed a pre-feasibility study, Canariaco Sur, which Freeze adds the company “knows is a deposit” and Canariaco Verde.
Feasibility studies at the Norte site were put on hold in 2013 due to tough economic markets, but while conditions remain tough, Freeze says now is the time to be undertaking more exploration activities before moving onto further studies.
