Uranium exploration group Berkeley Energia Limited (LON:BKY) is embarking on a drilling programme that will hopefully enhance the potential of its Salamanca property in eastern Spain.

Speaking to Proactive Investors, Paul Atherley, chief executive, says “If you’ve got something good then let’s make it bigger and that’s what we’re trying to do with the drilling at Zona 7”.

Twelve 250m holes are planned for the Zona 7, a high grade area that has already transformed the economics of the project.

Atherley adds “Zona 7 ore body has been designed and it’s going to be part of a definitive feasibility study which we’ll announce in the next few weeks, and the numbers should be very good.”
