North Sea oil industry at inflection point, says PwC’s Baker

Alison Baker, head of PwC’s UK oil & gas team, says the North Sea oil industry is at an ‘inflection point’  - with strategies ranging from opportunistic expansion to divestment.

“Over the next five years we’re going to see a lot of activity and a lot of volatility,” Baker said at the World Oil & Gas Week in London.

“Those addressing strategy, cost base, and focusing on long-term investments will emerge fitter, leaner and stronger from this low price environment.”
