PJX Resources Inc. is gold focused and newly trading on the TSX-V with the symbol PJX.   The company has experienced management and 4 primary properties located in the historical mining area of Cranbrook and Kimberley, British Columbia.  Three properties may host the source of gold found in placer creeks.  Placer mining in Wildhorse Creek has reportedly produced over 1.5 million ounces since gold was first discovered in 1864. 

Previous operators spent over $3 million to discover gold showings across the properties but did not have the resources to drill and test the potential for gold deposits.  Anomalous gold values as high as 15 g/t, including visible gold, have been documented from surface exposures.  Gold properties fit the geologic model for large tonnage Sediment-Hosted-Vein (SHV) type gold deposits, such as the Sukhoi Log (+20 million ounce).   Over twenty exploration target areas have been identified on Dewdney Trail Property alone.   

Properties are all road accessible, with nearby power, and within 50 km of each other; making exploration and other expenses less costly.  PJX is funded through 2 phases of initial exploration.

Cranbrook Area

PJX has 4 gold properties in the Cranbrook area of south-eastern British Columbia, Canada. Gold discoveries on the large Dewdney Trail Property will be the primary focus of exploration for the company. Zones with gold mineralization will also be explored to develop targets on the Vine, Zinger and Eddy Properties.

The Cranbrook area is one of the most important mineral areas in Canada, having produced 8,500,000 tonnes of lead, 8,000,000 tonnes of zinc, and 9,000 tonnes of silver, nearly all of it from the historical Sullivan mine at Kimberley. Other small base metal producers include the Kootenay King, Estella and Bull River mines in the Hughes Range and the Stemwinder, North Star and St. Eugene mines south of the Sullivan mine in the Purcell Mountains. Together these smaller deposits account for about 3,000,000 tonnes of metal.

Placer gold provided the first exploration interest in the area starting in the mid to late nineteenth century, with deposits on the Wild Horse River proving large and profitable. Perry Creek and the Moyie River, on the Purcell Mountains side of the trench, were also profitable and small operations on each of these water courses continue today; 150 years after discovery. Anecdotal information suggests at least 1.5 million ounces (46.7 million grams) of gold have been recovered; however, no corresponding lode deposits of any size have been discovered, suggesting the gold potential of the Cranbrook Area has undeveloped potential.

John Keating, P. Geo  - Chief Executive Officer, President and Director

Mr. Keating has over 30 years of experience in the mining and exploration industry. He conducted early and advanced stage exploration with Noranda and was a global commodity analyst for gold, silver, and base metals with the Federal Government of Canada. During the last 10 years, Mr. Keating was president and chief executive officer for Bull Resources and Golden Chalice Resources. Mr. Keating holds a Bachelor of Science (Geology) from Concordia University. Mr. Keating will work full time as an employee for PJX and has entered into a non-competition and non-disclosure agreement with PJX.

Linda Brennan, BCom – Chief Financial Officer, Corporate Secretary and Director

Ms. Brennan has been a consultant for 10 years providing strategic advice and organizing and structuring financings to numerous early stage companies in the junior resource sector. She brings knowledge of finance, accounting and public markets to PJX. In the past five years, Ms. Brennan has served in the capacity of corporate secretary for Abitibi Mining Corp., Amador Gold Corp., Chalice Diamond Corp., Golden Chalice Resources Inc., Kalahari Resources Inc., Klondike Gold Corp., Klondike Silver Corp., Sedex Mining Corp. and Zinccorp Resources. Ms. Brennan holds Business Administration and Bachelor of Commerce degrees from the University of Victoria and Royal Roads University, respectively. Ms. Brennan will work full time as an employee for PJX and has entered into a non-competition and non-disclosure agreement with PJX.

James Clare  – Director

Mr. Clare is a partner in the Securities Law Group at the law firm of Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP and practices in the areas of corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Clare’s practice is focused on the mining and oil and gas sectors. His transactional experience includes domestic and cross-border public and private corporate finance transactions, representing issuers and underwriters as well as merger and acquisition transactions. He also advises public issuers on general corporate and securities law matters including stock exchange listings, continuous disclosure obligations and other regulatory compliance issues. Mr. Clare holds Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Western Ontario and Acadia University, respectively.

Kent Pearson, P. Geo – Director

Mr. Pearson is a geologist with over 20 years experience in the mining and capital markets sectors. His background in mining comprises both exploration and production. Mr. Pearson’s capital markets experience includes equity and debt research and investment banking as a vice president. He is currently president of Locarno Advisory Inc., a boutique advisory firm specializing in corporate mergers and acquisitions, strategic advisory, asset review and asset disposition. Mr. Pearson holds Bachelor of Science (Geology) and Masters of Business Administration degrees from the University of Alberta and Queen’s University, respectively.

Somerset Parker - Director

Mr. Parker is currently the Vice President, Marketing Division of Geovic Mining Corporation. Mr. Parker previously held a senior management role at Jaguar Nickel Inc. Mr. Parker has developed an extensive network of investor contacts and mining analysts, on a worldwide basis, including relationships with major banks and securities houses. Mr. Parker holds a Bachelor of Science, University of Chile.

Joseph Del Campo – Director

Mr. Del Campo holds a Certified Management Accountant designation. Mr. Del Campo worked for the Falconbridge group of companies in financial positions, including Controller and Treasurer of Falconbridge Dominicana and Falconbridge Gold Corporation, a gold mining company with operating mines in Africa and Canada. Over the past 13 years, Mr. Del Campo has been a director and vice president of finance and chief executive officer at a number of junior exploration companies listed on the TSX and TSXV and is the former CFO of First Nickel Inc.
