International Coal (intended ASX ticker code is: ICX) hopes to list on the Australian Stock Exchange in late July. The company is involved in coal exploration with a focus on Queensland where it holds four coal exploration tenements.
It has a target of 380 million tonnes of coking coal at the Bundaberg Project and a target of 8.8 billion tonnes of thermal coal at the South Blackall project. It aims to roll out an extensive exploration programme over the forthcoming months and to prove up JORC resource in the short term.

International Coals’ Bundaberg Project are located in a well known and highly prospective region, adjacent to a number of well established Coking Coal explorers and producers.
The recently produced Moultrie Group report stated that EPC’s 2194 and 2196 are -
Potential for Coking Coal discovery and contain two target exploration coal-bearing units:
- Burrum Coal Measures
- Maryborough Formation
The principal target is Cretaceous hard Coking Coals and several exploration targets have been determined with an Exploration Target (ranked highly prospective) of 280 Mt – 370 Mt
Near neighbours include Northern Energy, Guildford Coal, Cliff Resources and Hancock Coal.

South Blackall Project
International Coals’ South Blackall Project (EPC 2197) is located in the developing Eromanga Basin – a major new thermal coal basin, and the South Galilee Basin.
We are targeting a large open cut deposit of export grade thermal coal from EPC 2197 to help satisfy the worlds long term demand for thermal coal.
Independent analysis has determined the potential for a large tonnage thermal coal exploration target – 8.0Bt – 9.0 Billion tonne,
Infrastructure plans are currently being developed for this region and access to ports will evolve over the forthcoming years.

Richard Anthon
Non-Executive Chairman
Mr Anthon is the managing partner of Hemming + Hart Lawyers, a commercial and corporate focused CBD law firm in Brisbane. Mr Anthon has practised extensively in the corporate and mining law area for more than 25 years including having worked in-house for listed mining companies. He has acted as company secretary for listed companies and has been a director of a number of listed companies since 1996.
Mr Round has worked extensively on managing capital raisings, company development and project analysis and assessment. He also has significant experience in the resource sector acting as a CFO and Corporate Advisor and has been involved in the listing and development of a number of successful ASX listed companies.
Hugh Shao Dai
Executive Director
Mr Shao Dai has extensive experience in a range of business ventures in both Australia and China.
He has maintained a strong presence in the mining and resource, finance and international trade sectors businesses in both China and Australia for over 25 years, commencing in Chinese investment banking in 1986.
During his career, Mr Shao Dai has worked in many senior management roles developing a network of high-level contacts in both government and private sectors in China.
He has regularly played a key role in negotiating and securing international trade and mining agreements, especially the formation of the investment ventures between Chinese corporations and Australian mining companies.
His experience in both the Australian and Chinese industries means Mr Shao Dai brings a diverse range of experience across regulatory bodies, financial institutions and relevant government agencies in both countries providing a key link between the mining and sales divisions in the industry.
Mr Shao Dai holds a Bachelor of Economic Degree from University of Hunan, China and Master of Arts in International Studies from Griffith University, Australia. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is currently a director of several public companies.
John Lester
Non-Executive Director
Mr Lester has extensive experience in mining and in corporate finance.
Mr Lester graduated from Oxford University with a degree in natural science before joining London stockbrokers Joseph Sebag and Co where he was trained as a mining analyst.
Mr Lester joined Jardine Fleming and Co in Hong Kong and became a member of the board.
He spent a number of years as a stockbroker and corporate financier in Sydney and later managed a mining company in Indonesia.
He has been an Executive Director and Managing Director of iron ore company Golden West Resources Limited since early 2008 and will become a Non-Executive Director in August 2011.
David Round
Chief Financial Officer
Mr Round is a qualified Accountant CPA and holds an MBA. He has considerable experience within the resource sector acting as Chief Financial Officer, Company Secretary and Corporate Advisor, and most recently worked for listed companies Ironbark Zinc Ltd and Wolf Minerals Ltd. Mr Round was also an inaugural Executive Director of Waratah Gold Ltd (now Waratah Resources Ltd). Most recently Mr Round was Chief Financial Officer of Albidon Ltd a significant resource house with mine operations in Africa.
Mr Round has significant experience in the resource sector acting as a CFO and Corporate Advisor and has been involved in the listing and development of a number of successful ASX listed companies.
