Blue River Tantalum-Niobium Project

Upper Fir Property
The Upper Fir deposit is located in the Kamloops Mining Division of British Columbia, approximately 10 kilometers north of the town of Blue River.
The Upper Fir deposit contains an Indicated resource of 7,384,000 tonnes with a grade of 217 g/t Ta2O5 and Nb2O5 grade of 1,202 g/t (3,533,000 and 19,568,000 lbs of contained Ta2O5 and Nb2O5, respectively). Inferred resources at the same 175 g/t Ta2O5 cut-off include 16,494,000t of 213 g/t Ta2O5 and 1,222 g/t Nb2O5 (7,746,000 and 44,436,000 lbs of contained Ta2O5 and Nb2O5, respectively). (Stone & Selway, 2010) [READ MORE]
Fir Property
The Fir deposit, defined by 15 diamond drill holes, contains an indicated resource of 5.65 million tonnes grading 203.1 grams per tonne Ta2O5 and 1,047 grams per tonne Nb2O5. The current geological model suggests this may be part of a larger mineralized system, traced in soil sampling and geophysics. [READ MORE]
Verity Property
The Verity deposit is host to an inferred resource of 3.06 million tonnes grading 196 grams per tonne tantalum and 646 grams per tonne niobium (McCrea, 2001). The Verity remains open for expansion in three directions.
The company's Verity project consists of 13 claims totaling 325 acres, covering the Verity carbonatite and is located 30 kilometers north of Blue River, British Columbia. The claims were staked by Commerce Resources Corp. between February and October 2000, and are owned 100% by Commerce with no underlying royalties. [READ MORE]
Regional Exploration
The Blue River Tantalum-Niobium Project is surrounded by geologically-fertile mineral claims that are also wholly-owned by Commerce Resources Corp. In fact, prior exploration at the project has identified a number of other distinct tantalum-niobium bearing carbonatites. They include the Switch Creek, Bone Creek, Gum Creek, Paradise, Serpentine and Mill complexes. The possibility that these carbonatites may outline the parameters of a large mineralized structure is expected to be better investigated during upcoming exploration seasons.
Eldor Rare Earth Project
The Eldor Property is located in the Labrador Trough area of northern Quebec and was originally acquired from Virginia Mines Inc. (TSX: VGQ). During exploration at the Eldor Property in 2009, the Company identified the Ashram Rare Earth Element (“REE”) Zone from rock sampling at a 1 km by 0.8 km magnetic low.
During the 2010 exploration program, Commerce completed 16 holes totaling 4,100 metres in addition to additional prospecting, mapping, soil sampling, a ground magnetic survey, and trenching. The drilling was designed to test the Ashram Rare Earth Zone for its potential to host a carbonatite-hosted REE deposit.
Results to date confirmed the potential for a significant new and large tonnage REE discovery at the Ashram Rare Earth Zone. Significant tonnage potential has been indicated by the broad thickness and relative continuity of grade encountered thus far. Due to the successful results, the Company made the decision to expand the drill program. [READ MORE]
Carbo Rare Earth Project
The Carbo Project is located in the emerging Wicheeda rare earth carbonatite camp approximately 80 km northeast of Prince George and consists of seven claims totaling an area of 2,778.63 hectares. The Wicheeda camp is located within the Rocky Mountain Rare Metal trench, a major continental geologic feature which includes numerous rare earth and rare metal deposits being explored and developed. Much of this terrain has seen very little exploration incorporating current models and modern technology.
A technical paper presented at the Minerals South Conference and Trade Show in late 2009 by C. Graf, P. Eng., R. Lane, P. Geo., and M. Morrison, B.Sc., outlined significant exploration results from Spectrum Mining Corporation's (private) Wicheeda property in the camp. Select drill hole intersections cited in the paper included 48.64 meters of 3.55% combined rare earth elements (REE), 144 meters of 2.2% combined REEs and 72 meters of 2.92% REEs. All intersections were collared in mineralization and assays were given in total elemental REEs which understates actual REE oxide content. No separate analyses were reported for heavy rare earth elements (HREE).
Canadian International Minerals Inc. (CNSX: CIN) has an option to earn up to a 75% interest in the Carbo Project by paying Commerce Resources Corp. a series of cash and share payments, and conducting exploration expenditure over a three year period.
2010 Exploration Program
Exploration in 2010 at the Carbo Project has included a close-spaced AeroTEM III-Radiometric-Mag survey, geological mapping and soil sampling program. In addition, a diamond drill program of up to 16 short drill holes from up to 8 drill sites is planned. [READ MORE]
