Myrtle Zinc Project, Australia

Project Description

The Myrtle zinc-lead deposit is located 20km south of the McArthur River (HYC) zinc-lead mine in the Northern Territory. It is a sedimentary hosted (SEDEX) zinc-lead deposit, where an Inferred Mineral Resource of 43.6 million tonnes grading 4.09% Zn and 0.95% Pb has been delineated to JORC Code standards. A higher grade core of  15 million tonnes grading 5.45% Zn and 1.0% Pb is also present.

Rox's tenements in the area cover an area of 669km2. At the Myrtle proposed thick drill intercepts of prospective stratigraphy carrying significant zinc-lead grades have been made but only a small portion of the prospective resource area has been drilled and a large mineralised system is indicated.
 
Mineralisation occurs at a number of locations on the tenement as listed and shown below, all within the regional McArthur Basin. Two types of zinc-lead mineralisation are targeted:

• Stratiform mineralisation (hosted by the HYC Pyritic Shale Member of the Barney Creek Formation), eg. the HYC   deposit, and the W-Fold, Emu Plains, Berjaya, Mitchell Yard, Myrtle and Barney Creek prospects.

• Stratabound mineralisation (epigenetic breccia and open space infill within dolostones, with MVT affinities),    eg. the Cooley I, II, III, Ridge I, II, Cooks, Cox, Squib, Turnbull, and Reward deposits, and the Bald Hills, Barneys,    and Buffalo Lagoon prospects.

Being located adjacent to the McArthur River mine means that infrastructure installed for that operation (e.g. bitumen roads, gas pipeline, bitumen airstrip) will be able to be shared with Myrtle. Access to the concentrate ship loader at the Bong Bong port is also a possibility.

Marqua Phosphate Project, Australia

Project Description

The Marqua Phosphate Project in the Northern Territory is located 300km south of Mount Isa (Figure 1). Rox has applied for two exploration licences at Marqua covering more than 2,400km2. The area is highly prospective, with high grade phosphate drill intersections already encountered and also occurrences of base metals and uranium.
Previous exploration of the area identified five phosphate prospects over a strike length of 20km with outcrops grading up to 39.4% P2O5 along a phosphorite horizon (Figure 2).
 
The prospects occur near the southern extent of the Georgina Basin, which is rapidly becoming Australia’s major hard-rock phosphate province.

Mr Ian Mulholland (appointed 27/11/2003 - B.Sc. (Hons), M.Sc. FAusIMM, FAIG, FSEG, MAICD)

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Mr Mulholland is a geologist with over 25 years broad experience in the exploration and mining industry in a number of commodity groups including gold, silver, copper, lead, zinc, uranium, nickel and kaolin. He has been Managing Director of Rox Resources since it’s inception, and prior to that he managed activities from grass roots exploration to advanced resource definition, feasibility studies and mining operations for a number of major, medium sized and junior companies including WMC, Esso, Otter Gold, Aurora Gold, Anaconda Nickel, Archaean Gold, Summit Resources and Conquest Mining. His strength is in bringing resources to economic fruition and his experience is particularly appropriate for his role with Rox.

Mr Mulholland has been involved in the Nimbus silver-zinc project, the Mt Martin, Mt Muro, Toka Tindung, Tanami and Mt Carlton gold-silver projects, the Murrin Murrin, Weld Range, Marshall Pool, Lawlers and Cawse nickel projects, the Valhalla and Olympic Dam uranium projects, and the Mt Windsor VMS copper-lead-zinc projects.

Mr Mulholland has a B.Sc. (Hons), Geology from the University of Sydney and a M.Sc. in Exploration and Mining Geology from the James Cook University of North Queensland. He is a Fellow of the AusIMM, the AIG, and the Society of Economic Geologists.

Mr Jeff Gresham (appointed 1/10/2006 - B.Sc. (Hons), MAusIMM, MGSA, MAICD)

NON-EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN

Mr Gresham is a geologist with a distinguished industry career of varied exploration, operational and corporate experience both in Australia and internationally spanning 39 years. Mr Gresham is also a non-executive director of Breakaway Resources.

Previously he was Managing Director of Titan Resources, an active nickel explorer in Western Australia, and roles prior to that have included Managing Director of gold miner Wiluna Mines Limited, General Manager – Exploration for Homestake Gold of Australia, and several senior executive roles with Western Mining Corporation (WMC) including Chief Geologist of the Kambalda Nickel Operations, and Executive Vice President Exploration for WMC’s Canadian subsidiary Westminster Canada Ltd.

Mr Gresham’s extensive professional experience covers numerous mineral deposit types and he has authored a number of professional papers on the Kambalda nickel deposits and the Olympic Dam copper-uranium deposit, and has a B.Sc (Hons) degree from the Victoria University, Wellington, New Zealand.

Mr Brett Dickson (appointed 1/04/2010 - B.Bus, CPA)

FINANCE DIRECTOR

Mr Dickson has over 20 years experience in the financial management of companies, principally companies in early stage development of its resource or production, and offers broad financial management skills. He has been Company Secretary and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a number of successful resource companies listed on the ASX, and in addition to Rox Resources currently also acts as Company Secretary and CFO for Azure Minerals Limited.

He has had close involvement with the financing and development of a number of Greenfield resources in the oil and gas and mineral sectors. Mr Dickson is a Certified Practising Accountant with a Bachelors Degree in Economics and Finance from Curtin University.
