Key Projects Readying for Mining via Strategic Partnership
Mindax controls two advanced exploration projects in iron and uranium, the iron project which is transitioning from exploration to mining.
- Mt Forrest Iron Project: Mindax is pleased with its DSO and excellent quality Potentially Beneficiable Magnetite (PBM) which marks out Mt Forrest as a significant location in the emerging Yilgarn Iron Province.
The JORC stands at 1.01 billion tonnes @ 31.4% Fe. An initial DSO operation can exploit the JORC of 4.5 m tonnes @ 54% with just under 2/3 in already in the indicated category. In addition there is very significant material with grades lying between magnetite and DSO in purity. Leases for transport corridors to the Menzies railhead are in place and negotiations with rail, port and other infrastructure partners are well advanced. - Uranium Project at Mukinbudin in Wheat Belt Paleochannels: Uranium at 0.63% U3O8 (5368 ppm U) and 0.24% U3O8 (2000 ppm U) encountered at Mindax controlled YAJV at Yandegin Prospect, Mukinbudin WA
This deposit is well suited for the (ISR) insitu recovery process used by Heathgate Resources Pty Ltd at the Beverley uranium mine in South Australia. The YAJV is a Mindax managed co-operation between Mindax and Heathgate's Quasar Resources Pty Ltd.Encouraging uranium prospectivity marks this area as a new uranium province which has been proven by Mindax's successful greenfields exploration. Mindax now controls almost all of the paeleochannel.
Other Projects Well Advanced
- Mortlock JV (Mindax Energy Pty Ltd - Copper-Gold. This project is looking for large copper-gold systems close to Perth
- Meekatharra North Gold
