Capstone Mining(TSE:CS) said Monday it has extended mineralization at its Mala Noche Footwall Zone (MNFWZ), part of the Cozamin polymetallic Mine in Mexico.

Highlights from recent drill results include hole U251, which intersected 21.2m true width at 1.56% copper, 18.9 g/t silver and 0.05% zinc, including 5.08m at 5.14% copper, 58.4% g/t silver, 0.01% lead, and 0.14% zinc.

Also, hole U254 returned 6.67m true width at 5.16% copper, 180.53 g/t silver, 0.09% lead, and 0.33% zinc, including 5.65m at 6.01% copper, 209.8 g/t silver, 0.11% lead, and 0.38% zinc.

"We believe the MNFWZ, a splay off the main Mala Noche Vein, provides a near term opportunity to add high grade resources and potential high grade mill feed for the Cozamin operation," said VP of Exploration, Brad Mercer.

The drill results, Mercer said, extends the Mala Noche Footwall Zone eastward by about 100 metres.  Capstone is planning to drill another 40 to 50 holes at the zone, with the aim of producing a mineral resource estimate before the end of the year.
