Conducting a series of live firing demonstrations to key officers of the United States military at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada lit a fuse for the share price of Metal Storm (ASX: MST, OTC: MTSXY) today. It was up 6 per cent.

Metal Storm completed 30 distinct live firing demonstrations with more than 120 rounds fired in total before key defence industry personnel including procurement and operational officers of the US Army, US Marines, international defence forces and major weapons companies.

Metal Storm CEO Dr Lee Finniear said the live firings were a fantastic opportunity to showcase the company's weapons in action and let others try them before a broad audience. The feedback from both the military community and defence industry representatives was understood to be very encouraging.
