Waratah Resources appoints non-executive director

Waratah Resources (ASX:WGO) has appointed Mandeep Bhandari as a non-executive director of the company with immediate effect.

He is the managing director of Dubai-based Steel Masters International, which represents Australia’s largest steel company, BlueScope Steel and are exclusive and authorized agents for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

SMI has operated in the United Arab Emirates region for nearly 20 years and has contributed to a number of key projects in Dubai including the Airport terminals, Metro, and other prestigious projects.

It also has a shed manufacturing factory in the Umm Al Quwain Free Zone.

“The appointment of Mandeep will further compliment the Waratah Board. His experience in the commodity markets and Middle Eastern business will strengthen the growing international ties that Waratah has with Middle Eastern, European, African, and Australian corporations,” executive chairman Ben Kirkpatrick said.
