blinkx teams up with Dailymotion

January 21 2013, 8:15am Dailymotion will place advertising against the videos and share resulting revenue with blinkx.

 

Video search engine specialist blinkx (LON:BLNX) is to team up with video sharing web site Dailymotion.

Under the terms of the deal, blinkx will embed Dailymotion's player alongside its own content to give users seamless access to Dailymotion's rich video library on blinkx.

Dailymotion will place advertising against these videos and share resulting revenue with blinkx.

"Adding Dailymotion to our strong roster of partners enables us to continue to grow our index of up-to-date videos and ensure we deliver our video-viewing audience the very best in entertainment content," said Brian Mukherjee, chief executive of blinkx.
