Strathmore to terminate registration of its shares in the US
Strathmore Minerals Corp plans to terminate the registration of its shares in the US in order to cut costs.
Strathmore is currently fulfilling all reporting requirements under the US Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and is not currently listed on any US exchange. Strathmore shares will continue to trade in Canada on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol ‘STM’.
The company will file an application to terminate the registration with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, and its reporting obligations will be suspended. The termination will become effective 90 days thereafter.
Although the company believes it has obtained substantial benefits through its SEC registration, the current economic environment has led to a review all of its expenditures, and the costs related to the registration are disproportionate to Strathmore's size.
Strathmore Minerals is a Canadian resource company specializing in the strategic acquisition, exploration and development of uranium properties. Its primary goal is to become a leading uranium producer in the US. Its key properties are eight areas of known mineralization in the Gas Hills Uranium District of Wyoming.
