Black Fire Minerals suspends exploration activities on Kangeshi copper silver project in DRC
Black Fire Minerals (ASX:BFE) has announced a suspension to all exploration activities on the Kangeshi licence in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The company received an "unexpected letter" from the DRC Ministry of Mines instructing the immediate suspension of all exploration on the Kangeshi Copper Project, "pending the potential establishment of a new “forestry nursery” within the Kundelungu Plateau area."
The company have advised that as they understand it, "the letter is not a cancellation of the Kangeshi licence."
Black Fire have complied with the directive and commenced seeking formal clarification from various DRC Government bodies in relation to this instruction.
The Black Fire Board said it is committed to the Kangeshi Project and offered its support in resolving this matter as quickly as possible.
