Ascent Resources MD buys shares in firm
Managing director of Ascent Resources (LON:AST) Jeremy Eng has bought shares in the oil and gas firm.
On December 9 (Friday), Eng bought around 1.35 million shares at 2.8 pence a share - a premium to Thursday's closing price of 2.75 pence a share - for around £37,795 , the company said in a statement.
Eng is now interested in 0.71 per cent of the firm's share capital.
Ascent, which is focused on gas, has a portfolio spanning across Italy, Switzerland, Hungary, Slovenia and Netherlands.
Last month, it reported high and better-than-expected gas flows from a second well on its Petisovci project in Slovenia.
Preliminary testing of the shallowest of two stages of the PG-10 well flowed at a stabilised rate of 8.5 MMscfd (240,000 m3; 1,420 boepd), Ascent said.
The Petisovci project is a joint venture between Slovenia group Geoenergo, which holds a 25 per cent interest in the project, and Ascent, which holds 75 per cent through a subsidiary.
Ascent Resources shares are currently trading at 2.9 pence each.
