Formation Group full-year profits soar, but dividend suspended due to economic uncertainty

Formation Group PLC said the financial year ended August 31 2008 saw the group achieve its ambitious goals and reach the market consensus forecast, with operating profit from continuing operations rising to £3.5 million from £1.1 million in 2007.


Formation provides a range of management and professional services to its clients within the sports, music and entertainment sectors as well as other high net worth individuals and trusts.


James Grant Media Ltd and O J Kilkenny & Co Ltd, both acquired on August 31 2007 have contributed in line with company expectations.


Due to the current economic uncertainty, Formation said it has decided not to propose a dividend payment for the year, however, it will reconsider this position at the interim results for the period ending February 28 2009.
