Leon Coetzer, chief executive at Jubilee Platinum PLC (LON:JLP), said the firm was "very delighted" with progress at the Dilokong chrome mine (DCM) project in South Africa.
The firm is processing surface tailings dumps there to produce chromite concentrate.
And it's going well. Production climbed to 9,670 tons in July, which was up 29% month-on-month, while revenue from the sale of concentrate was 33% higher than in June at £692,000.
Coetzer put the performance down to the fact the group had total control of all surface operations at Dilokong, which means it is operating both it and ASA Metals' processing unit at full capacity.
Moreover, the group is also in "advanced" discussions to bring in third party material, which will allow it to access a third processing facility on site, which Coetzer hopes will start within the next quarter, he says
