Integra Mining (ASX: IGR) transitioned from gold explorer to producer in September 2010 after pouring first gold from its flagship Randalls Gold Project.
The company has steadily built up its mineral portfolio through a series of acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic alliances, and now controls a consolidated tenement package of approximately 1,500km2 in the heart of the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia.
Integra Mining's high grade gold hits at Majestic to extend minelife at Randalls
Integra Mining (ASX: IGR) has received more high-grade intercepts within very broad zones of gold mineralisation from infill drilling at the Majestic discovery zone.
The results confirm the continuity of west-dipping, high-grade gold mineralisation at Majestic, located 22km north of the new gold processing facility at Integra's Randalls Gold Project.
Key results include:
- 18 metres at 3.91g/t gold within a broader zone of 50 metres at 1.73g/t gold;
- 23m at 3.07g/t gold within a broader zone of 72 metres at 1.41g/t gold; and
- 13m at 3.67g/t gold within a broader zone of 76 metres at 1.05g/t gold.
The drilling is part of an on-going campaign aimed at converting Mineral Resources to Ore Reserves and is scheduled to be completed mid 2011.
The results indicate that Majestic is a significant gold mineralised system with excellent potential to be a source of open pit material for Randalls.
Integra expects Majestic will make a material contribution to the extension of minelife at the Randalls where the company has just approved a 25% process facility upgrade to 1 million tonnes per year.
The Majestic Prospect is part of the Monger Joint Venture between Integra (85%) and Newcrest Operations Limited (15%).
On April 6 Integra announced it completed the Randalls Gold Project commissioning in a period of just five and a half months and has commenced commercial production with an impressive 7,616 ounces produced at March 1.
With gold hitting an all-time high of $1,467.00 per ounce today, and likely lower cash costs than estimated, the timing of commercial production at Randalls in March couldn't be better.
