African Energy (ASX:AFR) owns 100% of the Sese Coal and Power Project in northerm Botswana which has a defined near-surface coal deposit containing indicated resources in excess of 2.5 billion tonnes. The entire resource is amenable to low-cost open pit mining and can produce large tonnages of both domestic power station fuel amd washed coal for regional and export sales.
African Energy Resources appoints Philip Clark as director
African Energy Resources (ASX: AFR) has appointed Philip Clark as a non-executive director, effective immediately.
Clark has most recently been providing general consulting services to the company, specifically focusing on a Concept Study on development options for the Sese coal deposit in Botswana.
Sese has delivered bumper results recently, and last month results showed the potential for Block-A, Block-B and Block-C to form a 110 square kilometre continuous coal seam.
African Energy is forecast to deliver an initial Inferred Resource in April 2011.
