Camino Minerals reports drill results from El Rincon; to begin drilling at Rodeo
Junior explorer Camino Minerals (CVE: COR) reported Friday results from its 16 hole drill program at the El Rincon gold project in Durango State, Mexico, with six of the holes intersecting several mineralized horizons, said the company.
Six of the 16 holes intersected mineralization ranging from 1.5 to 16.5 metres in thickness, according to Camino.
Highlights include 1.5 metres at 1.72 g/t gold and 4.99 g/t silver in hole RI-11-003; 7.5 metres at 0.25 g/t gold and 0.84 g/t silver in hole RI-11-001; and 4.5 metres at 1.05 g/t gold and 4.51 g/t silver in hole RI-11-015.
The 2,932 metre reverse circulation drill program represents the first to be carried out by Camino at the project, with drilling focused around an area known at the Ventana zone in the southwest.
El Rincon is a 12,946 hectare property that is situated along the same northeast-trending structural corridor as Argonaut Gold's El Castillo mine.
Separately, Camino also said today that it is now in the process of permitting its Rodeo gold project near Durango for an extensive diamond drill program, expected to begin sometime in the second quarter. Past drilling at Rodeo confirmed near-surface gold mineralization.
