Rock Tech Lithium Inc. (TSX-Venture: RCK | Frankfurt: RJIA) is a Canadian based resource company focused on acquiring, exploring and developing high-quality lithium and rare metals properties.
The Company’s strategy is to acquire and develop lithium properties that are at various stages of development — from early-stage exploration projects to advanced-stage exploration projects that have been the subject of prior work programs and/or contain historic resources that can be brought to NI43-101 standards and positioned for production within a reasonable timeframe.
Rock Tech Lithium to establish NI 43-101 resource at Georgia Lake this summer
Rock Tech Lithium (CVE: RCK) announced Tuesday the results for nine drill holes from its Georgia Lake Lithium project in northwest Ontario, and said it is on track to establishing an NI 43-101 compliant resource at the site by the end of June.
The nine holes, part of the 2010-2011 exploration program, were completed at three claim blocks, known as the Conway, Aumacho and Nama Creek blocks. The Vancouver-based company's goal for the current drill program is to bring the property's historic resource of 9.77 million tons to NI 43-101 compliant standards.
Highlights of the new results include 1.21% lithium oxide (Li2O) over 10.9 metres in hole CW 11-03 at Conway; 1.33% Li2O and 1.08% Li2O over 5.90 metres and 6.40 metres in drill hole L6-11-01 at Nama Creek; and 1.06% Li2O over 4.33 metres in drill hole AM10-02 at Aumacho.
The company said the drill holes on the Aumacho claim block also returned anomalous values of rare earth metals cesium and rubidium, including 899 g/t cesium and 6,199 g/t rubidium over 6.02 metres in drill hole AM10-01.
"The Company is quickly moving towards confirming the historical exploration data comprised of over 33,000 metres of diamond drilling over 200 drill holes," said president and CEO Eunho Lee.
"We are on target for having an NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate by the end of June 2011 and look forward to advancing the Georgia Lake project through the next stages of development."
To date, the company has completed 4,023 metres of its 7,000 metre drilling campaign.
Rock Tech has also sent a one-ton bulk sample for testing to assess the potential of producing battery-quality lithium carbonate. The metallurgical results, the company said, are expected by the end of May.
