Aura Energy (ASX: AEE) is a uranium explorer with advanced projects in Sweden, West Africa and Australia. Aura Energy has new substantial shareholder in Kinetic Investment Partners
Kinetic Investment Partners has become a substantial shareholder in Aura Energy (ASX: AEE), with the Melbourne based investment manager now holding 5.63% of Aura's stock.
Kinetic acquired a significant amount of shares in Aura in late 2010, with the share purchases on Tuesday 15th March pushing the stake into the substantial shareholder category.
Aura has been attracting the markets attention after some very promising high grade intercepts recently from the first batches of assays at the Reguibat Project in Mauritania, confirming the extensive nature of the calcrete uranium mineralisation.
Highlights included:
- 4.5 metres at 1863 parts per million (ppm) uranium (U3O8);
- 3 metres at 1312ppm U3O8; and
- 3 metres at 1417ppm U3O8.
Kinetic is focused on small cap investment, targeting companies outside of the S&P/ASX 100, with a market capitalisation of more than $25 million.
