Greenscape completes $7.0 million debt financing with Maxam Opportunities Fund
Environmentally-focused Greenscape Capital Group (TSX-V: GRN) said Monday it has completed a $7.0 million financing with Canadian investor Maxam Opportunities Fund by securing a five year non-revolving term facility.
The proceeds will be used to recaptalize the company and provide working capital, it said.
To ensure the construction of the company's green parking facility in Denver was completed on target and within budget, Greenscape took on a number of short terms loans. The company has now finalized $7.0 million in financing to recapitalize and consolidate these debts.
The debt financing solidifies Greenscape's 81.2% ownership position in the Denver facility and will give the company the ability to look for other opportunities in this market.
The Denver facility, which is already fully operational, was recently valued at USD $30.9 million. It features solar and wind energy sources, geothermal heating and cooling, LED lighting, recycled asphalt, reflective roofing, porous pavement and recycled steel.
Greenscape also said today that it is arranging a private placement of three million units at $0.25 per unit, for proceeds of $750,000. Each unit will consist of one common share and one half share purchase warrant.
