Camino Minerals (TSX-V:COR) announced Monday that a 3,000 metre reverse circulation drill program is currently underway at its El Rincon gold project in Durango State, Mexico.
Drilling will be focused in and around an area known as the Ventana Zone, located in the southwest area of the property, where Camino returned samples grading up to 4.03 g/t Au.
"In addition to the drill program currently underway at El Rincon, we also plan to drill the Rodeo gold project, in the state of Durango, and the Maijoma claim group, in the state of Chihuahua," said chairman and CEO Gordon Davis.
The 12,946 hectare El Rincon property is situated along the same northeast-trending structural corridor as Argonaut Gold's (TSX:AR) El Castillo gold mine and Silver Standard's (TSX:SSO) San Agustin deposit.
Camino was formed from Goldcorp's (NYSE:GG) C$300 million acquisition of Canplats. The company is led by Canplat's former management team, and is focused on precious and base metal projects in Mexico.
