Stellar Resources (ASX: SRZ) holds two priority advanced resource projects - a major magnetite project located in South Australia and a high grade tin deposit in Tasmania - as well as a number of exploration properties targeting copper, gold, uranium and nickel.
The company's aim is to develop a minimum 5 million tonne per annum magnetite operation based on the completion of a successful feasibility study at Tarcoola iron ore project in central South Australia.
Stellar Resources kicks off drilling for copper and tin at Gourlays Creek
Stellar Resources has commenced drilling at its 100% owned Gourlays Creek copper/tin target on the northwest coast of Tasmania.
Stellar plans to drill a 400m diamond drill hole intended to pass through the centre of the magnetic anomaly and also test the electromagnetic zone.
Also, two further drill holes are planned along the strike length of the most intense sections of the magnetic anomaly.
The target is defined by a number of intense circular magnetic anomalies over a strike length of one kilometre with a near coincident electromagnetic feature along the western boundary.
Historical drilling one kilometre to the north on a weaker magnetic zone demonstrated the relationship between mineralization and magnetite skarn development.
Stellar’s magnetically more intense and more compelling drill targets to the south have yet to be drilled.
On November 30 Stellar placed 14,000,000 shares at $0.15 per share to raise $2.1 million to accelerate exploration and development of its Heemskirk tin project in Tasmania.
Heemskirk drilling will be in conjunction with drilling at the Gourlays tin‐copper prospect.
