Pro Minerals (TSX-V:PRM) said Wednesday it has appointed Dr. Christian G. Derosier to the position of vice president of exploration, which is expected to benefit the company's Ontario and Quebec interests considerably.

Dr. Derosier has more than 40 years of exploration experience, having participated in the discovery of a 2 million ton copper deposit near Chibougamai, Quebec, better known as the Corner Bay project, readied into production by Campbell Mines.

He was also involved in the financing and discovery of the Gonzague-Langlois polymetallic mine in Lebel sur Quevillon, which was sold to Cambior and is now operated and owned by Breakwater Resources.

Over his career, he has headed up a wide range of assignments all over the world, where he has managed exploration and prospecting programs, carried out economical impact studies, arranged mining financings, evaluated mineral deposits and producing mines, and made ore reserve calculations.

In addition, Dr. Derosier has served as a director of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada and as both a vice-president and a president of the Quebec Prospectors Association. He is also a member of the Order of Geologists of Quebec and the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
