Cadillac Ventures intersects 3.8% copper at San Eduardo in Spain
Cadillac Ventures (TSX-V:CDC) said Thursday it has released initial results from drilling at its San Eduardo project in southern Spain, intersecting 3.8% copper.
A total of five holes were drilled on the San Eduardo project located on the El Soldado Investigation Permit, and all of them intersected the mineralized horizon consistent with the massive and semi-massive sulphides visible in the historic workings, said the company.
Initial results received include 3.81% Cu over 1.6 metres in SE-10-02 in cupriferous mineralization, and 1.753% Cu, 8.77% Zn, 1.3% Pb and 76 ppm Ag over 3.0 metres, also in SE-10-02.
Cadillac said that the massive and semi-massive sulphide mineralization shows continuity over greater than 60 metres in an E-W direction, and in excess of 100 metres in a N-S direction, and is open in both directions.
Further sampling was carried out on holes SE-10-03, SE-10-04 and SE-10-05 and results are expected shortly. The drill rig has now moved on to the San Platon project, where drilling has begun.
Cadillac owns the past-producing Thierry Property near Pickle Lake in Northern Ontario, several exploration projects in Spain in joint venture with MATSA, and three Canadian exploration projects, located in regions that have been historically active.
In Spain, the company is a joint venture partner with Minas de Aguas Tenidas, S.A.U. regarding the exploration of 12 different investigation licenses surrounding the Aguas Tenidas Mine in the Iberian Pyrite Belt of southern Spain.
Cadillac was up almost 2% on Thursday to $0.3 as of 11:49am ET.
