Clifton Star Resources Inc. (TSX.V: CFO) ["Clifton Star"] (Frankfurt Exchange: C3T) is a junior mining exploration company with a focus on six properties that have had historic production of gold, silver, copper and nickel.

Clifton completes $8.5m option payment for three properties at Duparquet project

Clifton Star Resources (TSX-V:CFO) (FSE:C3T) has made an $8.5 million payment to the optioners of the Beattie, Donchester and Dumico properties at the Duparquet gold project in northwestern Quebec, in order to gain a 10% stake.

The company recently made a final payment of $450,000 to earn a 100%  interest in the Duquesne property at the Duparquet project, subject to an NSR which is being negotiated.

All funds for the payments were generated internally and did not require any external borrowing from Oskisko Mining, its joint venture partner on the gold project.
