Saga says seasoned insurance executive James Quin to be its group chief financial officer from 1 January 2019

Saga PLC (LON:SAGA) has announced the appointment of seasoned insurance executive James Quin as its group chief financial officer with effect from 1 January 2019.

The FTSE 250-listed specialist in products and services for life after 50 said Quin will join the firm from Zurich Insurance Group, where his most recent role has been as UK chief financial officer, spanning the UK Property & Casualty and Life Insurance operations.

The group added that he has over 28 years of senior leadership experience with Zurich, as an equity analyst with several sell-side institutions, and as a chartered accountant at PwC

Commenting on Quin’s appointment, Lance Batchelor, Saga’s group chief executive officer, said: “He has extensive strategic, investor and operational finance experience within the Insurance industry and will be a valuable member of the leadership team as we target investment in new customer acquisition to deliver long term value for the Group."
