Talks between Premier African Minerals Ltd (LON:PREM) and the National Indigenisation and Economic Development Fund in Zimbabwe have been going well, according to Premier’s chief executive George Roach.

“I am pleased that discussions are progressing well and that NIEEF has confirmed their commitment to the development of RHA,” says Roach.

The talks were initiated after disappointing production numbers put the future of RHA into question. Premier has previously stated its reluctance to put up further money if cash does not start coming in.

Now though, the NIEEF has shown willingness to agree a mechanism to restructure its 51%-ownership of RHA.

“We hope to report on these discussions in the coming weeks,” says Roach.

“I also look forward to briefing our shareholders at the coming investor evening on the 23rd January."
