OPG Power Ventures appoints new CFO and deputy chairman

Dmitri Tsvetkov will replace V. Narayan Swami as chief financial officer, while Jeremy Warner Allen will take over from Martin Gatto as non-executive deputy chairman

Dmitri Tsvetkov has been appointed as the new chief financial officer of India-focused power plant developer OPG Power Ventures Plc. (LON:OPG).

He will replace long-term finance director V. Narayan Swami who is retiring from the board.

Tsvetkov has been the CFO of OPG’s Chennai subsidiary since the summer and has held senior finance positions within various companies, including as chief financial controller at former FTSE 250 oil and gas group Heritage Oil.

Elsewhere in the boardroom, non-executive director Martin Gatto is also stepping down and will be replaced by Jeremy Warner Allen who has been appointed as non-executive deputy chairman.

“We are pleased to welcome Dmitri Tsvetkov and Jeremy Warner Allen to the Board,” said executive chairman Arvind Gupta.

“Their appointments are an important part of the company's development of its finance function and in the further strengthening of its external communications.”

He added: "On behalf of the Board, as well as in a personal capacity, I would like to record our thanks to V. Narayan Swami and Martin Gatto for their considerable contribution to the company during its formative decade since Admission and wish them every success in the future."

OPG shares opened 0.9%, higher at 27.5p on Wednesday morning.
