Lite Access Technologies bolsters board with King and Smith

Lite Access revealed some new board appointments today...

Toronto-listed fibre optic specialist Lite Access Technologies Inc (CVE:LTE) has bolstered its board with the addition of two heavy hitters from the world of telecoms and finance.

Steven King is an international telecoms veteran and Kevin Smith is a capital markets expert.

King has a Bsc (honours) in chemical engineering and for 25 years to 2016,  worked for the Emtelle Group, growing it in to a major international business trading in 82 countries worldwide.

Smith is chief financial officer for the Intracorp Group of Companies, a real estate development company with headquarters in Vancouver and with operations across North America.

Prior to joining Intracorp, he served as the EVP and CFO at Whistler Blackcomb Holdings Inc, where he successfully led the firm through an initial public offering (IPO) on the Toronto Stock Exchange in 2010.

Michael Plotnikoff, chief executive officer of Lite Access, said: "Steven King and Kevin Smith are valuable additions to the board of Lite Access, and we are fortunate that they have agreed to be part of our future growth.

"As a former senior officer of the Emtelle Group, Steve has significant telecom experience in the U.K. and internationally, as well as a broad set of international contacts. Kevin adds strategic and operational leadership to our board in all areas of finance, accounting, treasury and information technology."

Shares nudged 2% higher to $2.03.
