Confirmation of the press reports lit a fire under the share prices of both media groups.
Brave Bison, formerly known as Rightster, was up 26.3% at 1.8p, and Zinc Media, formerly known as Ten Alps, was up 13.2% at 1.16p.
Zinc Media made the approach to Brave Bison and talks are still in the preliminary stage. As per usual, there was the standard caveat that there is no guarantee a merger agreement will emerge from the talks.
Brave Bison is a digital media and social video broadcaster that helps brands, content creators and publishers build and engage audiences through the use of media.
TV programmes maker Zinc Media was recently commissioned by Channel 4 to produce a series called “Village of the Year” to be presented by former “Good Life” and “To the Manor Born” star Penelope Keith.
