Northern Territory based Rum Jungle Uranium (ASX:RUM) is preparing to immediately commence drilling on three new projects centred on Alice Springs and the Central Australian Railway.

The Tommy’s Gap copper prospect and the Ammaroo Phosphate project will be drilled concurrently, with the Karinga Creek Potash palaeoaquifer to be drilled in October.

Rum flew Traditional Aboriginal owners together with representatives of the Central Land Council (CLC), to visit the proposed drill sites at Tommy’s Gap during the week.

A clearance certificate issued by the CLC today, and an approved Mine Management Plan from NT Mines and Energy, paves the way for road construction to commence to site immediately.

Up to 20 drill sites are being cleared to test the various mineral and gossan outcrops.

Highlights from Tommy’s Gap reported last month include:

- 28.5% Cu and 44 g/t Ag in sample 4668;
- 10.3% Cu and 0.23 g/t Au in sample 4628;
- 7.2% Cu in sample 4650;
- 5.2% Cu and 13 g/t Ag in sample 4626;
- 4.9% Cu and 17 g/t Ag in sample 4627;
- 3.9 g/t Au in sample 4621; and
- 1.14 g/t Au, 0.3% Cu and 10 g/t Ag in sample 7447.

Ammaroo site clearing will potentially commence next week, as the CLC have issued a site clearance certificate to joint venture partner, Aragon Resources (ASX: AAG), which is currently being transferred to the company as operator of the joint venture.

Karinga Creek underdale drilling will utilise the same Schramm RC rig being employed at Tommy’s Gap.

This work will commence as soon as the Mine Management Plan has been authorised by Mines and Energy, which is currently scheduled for October.
