PhotonStar LED Group Plc (LON:PSL) highlights that it is profiling the group’s intelligent lighting and building control solutions at a key corporate event this week.

The company told investors it is participating in the IBM InterConnect 2017 Cloud & Mobile Conference, which is taking place between March 19 and March 23.

Significantly, the conference comes as the group prepares to make its halcyon cloudBMS product is being made commercially available (the launch date is set for April 1).

The new system, for building control, builds on a prior generation of low cost retrofit-able wireless monitoring and control platform.

Now, the company adds additional functionality, with the ability to regulate heating and cooling, shading and power management. That adds to the existing lighting and environmental sensor controls.

The company highlights that the system will be launched with a ‘as a service’ structure, at a price point that enables owners of small to medium sized businesses to reduce energy and operating costs and realise new insights into their operations.

Whilst the commercial launch is imminent, PhotonStar has already been rolling-out the product via paid-for technology trials – currently the system is installed across nine customer sites.

“PhotonStar's halcyonPRO2 and now cloudBMS have an exciting role to play as a secure, scalable platform for real world commercial Internet of Things applications in building management,” said Dr James McKenzie, PhotonStar chief executive.

“Ongoing trials of halcyonTM and the cloudBMSTM product remain the focus of the group's future growth strategy."
