Aim-listed junior Nostra Terra Oil and Gs Company PLC (LON:NTOG) has beefed up its management team as it increases its number of projects outside the US and where it is the operator.

John Stafford, who has 35 years experience in the oil and gas industry and a Middle East specialist, is joining as a non–executive.

His current  job is with Gulf Keystone (LON:GKP)  in Kurdistan, but he has worked previously with ECL, Schlumberger and PGS in integrated field management and reserves certification and reporting.

Nostra Terra recently diversified its operations into Egypt from its traditional US onshore base and Matt Lofgran, Nostra’s chief executive, said Stafford’s technical skills complement the existing board and increase the company's geological expertise ‘immensely’.

“John's regional knowledge also increases our potential sphere for operations, as we look to acquire new assets and become involved in new projects.”

Stafford will be granted warrants to subscribe for up to 750,000 shares at 2.55p.

Current non-executive Stephen Oakes is to step down, Nostra added.
