Drilling at Mariana Resources Ltd’s (LON:MARL) Hot Maden project in north-east Turkey continues to deliver “exceptional” gold and copper grades.
The data from the infill programme continue to confirm the continuity of the bonanza-grade mineralisation, particularly within Hot Maden’s Main Zone.
One infill section delivered 82.2 grams of gold and 1.44% copper from a 60.6-metre section at 209.4 metres below the surface.
Within that there was a near 20-metre section grading 248 grams of the yellow metal and 1.9% copper.
A second, 79-metre infill section came in at 14.3 grams per tonne and 1.59% copper from 294 metres downhole. This included 18 metres at 55 grams per tonne
Finally, a third section returned 90 metres at 22.6 grams of gold and 4.39% copper from 96 metres downhole.
Chief executive Glen Parsons said the widely-anticipated preliminary feasibility study of Hot Maden is expected early in the New Year as he confirmed Mariana will embark on a further 20,000-metre drill programme.
This will focus on a part of the property called the Russian Mining Area.
Of the latest results, Parsons said: "Encouragingly the growth potential for the further extension to the Main Zone in of the offset block to the south as well as further interesting intercepts in the Sourthern Vein Field discovery area continues to be enhanced.”
