Minefinders is a precious metals mining and exploration company. Minefinders Corporation (TSX:MFL, AMEX:MFN) - which was recently added to the S&P/TSX Global Gold Index and Global Mining Index which tracks the leading gold and mining industry participants – reported more positive drill results from the La Bolsa Property, Sonara, Mexico.

Both wide intercepts of low-grade gold and silver and shorter intercepts of high-grade gold and silver were reported.

Significant intercepts included 12.5 metres averaging 2.37 grams per tonne (gpt) gold and 57.3 gpt silver, to intermediate widths of 28.4 metres containing 1.35 gpt gold and 17.4 gpt silver, to wide low-grade intervals of 48.2 metres containing 0.53 gpt gold and 5.3 gpt silver. Higher grade intercepts of up to 10.7 gpt gold over 1 meter and up to 202.9 gpt silver over 1.5 metres were also encountered.

Gold-silver mineralization at La Bolsa occurs in a shallowly dipping continuously mineralized oxidized blanket approximately 900 metres long and 365 metres wide. The oxidized blanket varies in thickness from 10 meters to 50 meters.

“The drill results are positive and will be incorporated into the existing resource for La Bolsa,” Minefinders stated. The updated resource will be incorporated into a pre-feasibility study considering the viability of an open pit heap leach mine.

“We expect these drilling results to have a positive effect on the pre-feasibility work currently underway,” commented Mark Bailey, President and Chief Executive Officer. “La Bolsa is advancing as we had hoped and we plan to complete feasibility work as promptly as possible.  The pre-feasibility study is expected to be in hand during the second quarter of 2010.”
