Silver City Minerals Ltd (ASX:SCI) has commenced drilling at its 100% owned Razorback West Zinc Project located 20 kilometres from the world renown mining town of Broken Hill.
A three hole program for 1,000 metres will test a number of electromagnetic conductors.
The electromagnetic anomalies lie untested at depth beneath the existing previous Silver City drill holes.
The conductors show a relationship with zinc anomalies in the shallow holes.
Silver City has also received a $114,800 government grant for drilling at Razorback West.
The company has a zinc and lithium focus in the world-class Broken Hill region, where it holds a 1,200 square kilometre tenement position.
In recent months, Silver City entered into a joint venture with respect to the Wilga Downs project, 80 kilometres north of the Cobar mining centre.
A 400 metre diamond hole will be completed at Wilga Downs to test coincident geophysical targets.
Wilga Downs is conceptually a copper-gold target with similarities to existing copper mines in the district.
Silver City had cash on hand of $2 million at the end of the September quarter.
