Coarse-grained graphite is more desirable

Preliminary drilling at the Mahenge Liandu graphite project held by Armadale Capital PLC (LON:ACP) has delivered “extremely encouraging” results according to chairman William Frewen.

The company is two weeks into a six week drill programme at Mahenge Liandu, and already has been able to show intersections of high grade graphite.

These intersections occur across widths of between 40 metres and 65 metres and are an extension to the mineralisation previously announced after drilling intersected 60 metres at 10.7% total graphitic carbon.

The mineralisation is near surface, which should make for easy mining if a development decision is taken, although there is much work to be done yet,

“This preliminary discovery of high grade coarse flake graphite mineralisation underpins our belief that Mahenge Liandu offers significant upside opportunity,” said Frewen.
