Gold explorer Conroy Gold and Natural Resources PLC(LON:CGNR) says its Irish licences have been bolstered by the discovery of four new gold zones on its Glenish gold target.
The site is a 147 hectare, gold-in-soil anomaly 7.5km southwest of its Clay Lake-Clontibret target in Northern Ireland, where the firm is eyeing the potential of 5mln ounces of the yellow metal.
Chairman of the AIM firm Richard Conroy told investors: "The newly discovered gold zones significantly upgrade the potential of the Glenish gold target, which is close to our already established Clay Lake- Clontibret gold target, and further enhances the prospectivity of the company’s gold licences in Ireland.”
The latest drill intersections, included 2.25 metres at 2.65 g/t gold, at a depth of 18 metres.
There was also 2 metres at a grade 1.59 g/t gold at a depth of 27.75 metres, and 3 metres grading 1.76 g/t gold at a depth of 64.25 metres.
Conroy shares eased over 1% to 43.5p
