Metals Exploration has teething trouble at mill

Metals Exploration Plc (LON:MTL) has suspended milling operations at its Runruno gold mine in the Philippines after feeding-in problems.

The new mill was being tested as part of a ramp-up process at the mine and Metal Ex said a representative of the manufacturer CITIC was on site helping with the problem.

Other circuits, including the carbon in leach, BIOX and ASTOR (cyanide destruction) are continuing "test running and debugging" operations.

Last week, Metals Exploration poured the first gold from Runruno after a series of delays related to permitting and hurricane damage.
