Seeing Machines Limited (LON:SEE), the vehicle operator monitoring technology company, has sealed the single largest sale of Guardian driver fatigue monitoring units to date.

Guardian South East Asia has signed up as a non-exclusive distributor of Seeing Machines’ Guardian units in Singapore and Malysia, and has kicked off the relationship with a purchase of 1,000 units on normal commercial terms.

Guardian South East Asia (Guardian SEA) is wholly owned by V S Industry Berhad, a strategic investor in Seeing Machines and a leading integrated electronics machines services provider.

Seeing Machines and Guardian SEA expect to capitalise on the significant growth in cross-border transportation of goods between Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, as well as the opportunity to protect passengers using extensive public bus networks in Singapore and other major cities in the region.

The two companies have been actively working on opportunities in the public bus market through various initiatives, such as conducting joint product demonstrations with local public transport authorities.

Paul Angelatos, chief operating officer of Seeing Machines said Guardian SEA’s expertise and local relationships would help to protect “not only drivers, but also millions of commuters who rely upon safe, efficient public transportation."
