Versarien to work on skeleton boards with former olympian Bromley
Bromley Technologies and Versarien will also collaborate on ways to use graphene nano platelets

Versarien PLC (LON:VRS) is to work with winter sports olympian Kristan Bromley to develop a range of graphene-enhanced skeleton boards for the Winter games in 2018.

Bromley Technologies and Versarien will also collaborate on ways to use graphene nano platelets to boost the performance of carbon fibre structures used in other elite sports.

Kristan Bromley, a four time olympian and world skeleton champion, said graphene technologies offer the sports industry disruptive and extremely exciting opportunities.

“Our mission at Bromley Technologies is to develop high performance sports products that help athletes win medals on the world stage.

“With a focus on developing new Skeleton innovations for use at the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games, we are positioned as a business to continue to push boundaries and in doing so tap into a new era of technology."

Neill Ricketts, Versarien’s chief executive, added:Elite sport acts a clear proving ground and demonstrator for cutting edge technologies that can then be applied to mass market applications.

“As early adopters of new technological applications, the sporting sector is very attractive space for Versarien.”
