Aura Energy wraps up drilling programme at Reguibat Project
Australian-listed uranium explorer Aura Energy (ASX: AEE) has completed its first drilling programme at the Reguibat Project in northern Mauritania.
The programme comprised 392 holes, with a total length drilled of 2146 metres.
The majority of these were short, vertical holes, testing near-surface calcretetype mineralisation.
Downhole logging is in progress on site, with the drill samples now being transported to Nouakchott, from where they will be taken by road to the laboratory in Bamako in Mali.
The samples will be prepared and then sent to Canada for assay. Results are anticipated in the second half of February.
