Rambler reported no lost time accidents or medical aid injuries during 2015

Copper miner Rambler Metals & Mining PLC (LON:RMM CVE:RAB) has won the John T Ryan  safety award after its Ming mine recorded the lowest accident rate in Canada in 2015.

Rambler reported no lost time accidents or medical aid injuries during the year and since 2011 staff have worked 1,673 person days without incident.

Norman Williams, Rambler’s chief executive, said: "We are very pleased to have received this distinction and award from the CIM [Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum]

“Health and Safety is a critical component to the success of any operation and, while sound safety programs are a must, it is only with the combined efforts of every individual that an achievement like this is possible. “
