Resources investment group Metal Tiger (LON:MTR) has commenced drilling at the Kalahari copper belt joint venture in Botswana.
The first phase will target T4 (Aphrodite) with five others, where there has been no or minimal drilling to date, to be drilled as the project progresses.
Surface sampling of two of these in the Mahumo region, T3 and T6, has progressed well with assays due shortly.
Paul Johnson, chief executive, said: "The scale and potential of the Kalahari copper belt are significant and we are particularly enthused by the numerous high priority targets that MOD has identified, certain of which are included in this initial drill programme.”
