Below are some of the main news-driven share price changes at 4.15pm.

RISERS

Evgen Pharma PLC (LON:EVG), up 13%. The US Food & Drug Administration has granted the company orphan drug designation for the use of stabilised sulforaphane for the treatment of subarachnoid haemorrhage. Evgen’s SFX-01 is a synthetic and stabilised version of sulforaphane that is currently in a Phase II trial.

Octagonal Plc (LON:OCT), up 13%. John Gunn, chief executive officer, splashed out on 4mln shares. He bought 2.5mln at 1.2p per share and 1.5mln at 1.245p per share.

Hostelworld Group PLC (LON:HSW), up 7.8%. Trading during the key months of July and August has been in line with the company’s expectations.

FALLERS

Univision Engineering Ltd (LON:UVEL), down 9.1%. The company gave an update on the legal proceedings against the company, announced on 25 April, saying it intends to contest the claims.

Gable Holdings Inc (LON:GAH), down 7.7%. The board of the insurer confirmed that discussions with ‘A’ rated carriers are continuing and there remains a range of possible outcomes to the strategic review.

Edenville Energy PLC (LON:EDL), down 4.6%. The company that is developing a coal-to-power project in south western Tanzania announced the appointment of Jeff Malaihollo as non-executive chairman. He is currently Managing Director of ASX-listed Arc Exploration and a director of TSX-V listed Copper Lake Resources.

Thor Mining PLC (LON:THR, ASX:THR), up 8.3%. The final instalment of A$1.5mln due to Tor from the sale of Spring Hill is due to be received in February 2017, The company is in discussions with the purchaser of Spring Hill with a view to negotiating an early settlement of the A$1.5mln.

Gresham Computing plc (LON:GHT), up 8.2%. Half-year adjusted underlying earnings (EBITDA) were up 28% year-on-year.

FALLERS

Strat Aero PLC (LON:AERO), down 19%. What goes up, must come down … after more than doubling yesterday on news it had been granted National Qualified Entity status by the UK Civil Aviation Authority, the shares have fallen back closer to earth today.

Arian Silver Corp (LON:AGQ), down 8.1%. See Arian Silver given more time to consider tailings project

Glencore (LON:GLEN), down 5.2%. The interims were largely in line with expectations. Earnings before interest and tax tumbled to £875mln from £1.41bn the year before.

Cluff Natural Resources PLC (LON:CLNR), up 19%. Additional prospects identified on Licence P2248 in the Southern North Sea are expected to increase the company's estimated net P50 prospective resource to in excess of three trillion cubic feet (TCF) of natural gas from 760 BCF.

ONE Savings Bank PLC (LON:OSB), up 9.8%. Underlying profit before taxation increased 36% to £64.6mln in the first half of 2016 from £47.6mln the year before.

FALLERS

Tejoori Limited (LON:TJI), down 23%. The Dubai-based Shari'a-compliant investment company has been forced to give up its 10.1% interest in BEKON Holding by virtue of “drag-along” rights in the BEKON shareholders’ agreement.

Molins PLC (LON:MLIN), down 15%. Half-year results were in line with management expectations but the outlook for the full year has been revised downwards.

Bioquell PLC (LON:BQE), down 5.5%. The provider of specialist bio-decontamination products is no longer up for sale. Chief executive Nick Adams has stepped down and chairman Ian Johnson has assumed executive responsibilities.
